A WordPress website should be checked carefully before launch. Small issues like broken buttons, missing contact details or slow pages can reduce enquiries from day one.
Checks to complete before going live
Use this checklist to review the essentials before you publish or announce your new website.
- Review mobile pages
Check every main page on mobile and desktop. Headings, buttons, menus and forms should fit neatly. - Test all forms
Submit the contact form and confirm the email reaches the right inbox. Also test phone and WhatsApp links. - Set SSL and redirects
The site should load on HTTPS, and both www/non-www versions should resolve correctly. - Prepare SEO basics
Use clear page titles, meta descriptions, headings, image alt text and friendly URLs.
Quick checklist
- SSL active
- Forms tested
- Menus working
- Logo and favicon set
- SEO plugin configured
- Backups enabled
- Unused demo content removed
